Willard Memorial Chapel
The only complete and unaltered religious interior designed by Tiffany & Co.
Willard Memorial Chapel was completed in 1894 on the grounds of the Auburn Theological Seminary, with its entire interior designed and manufactured by Tiffany & Co. of New York. Surviving elements include 14 opalescent nave windows, a nine-paneled Rose window, nine Moorish-style chandeliers, hand-carved oak furnishings, a gold-leaf stenciled ceiling, mosaic flooring, and a Steere-Turner tracker organ. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Community Preservation Committee took ownership in 1990. Regular tour hours Wednesday through Saturday plus summer Sundays; weddings and private events book the balance of the calendar.
