Aurora Brewing Co. started on the east shore of Cayuga Lake in King Ferry and has since expanded to Rochester and Syracuse, but the original location remains the anchor. The Aurora brewpub sits at 1897 State Route 90 N with a covered deck and open-air patio overlooking Cayuga Lake, hay fields, and old-growth trees. The kitchen runs a full lunch and dinner menu with takeout available. Live music is a regular fixture. The Rochester location occupies a restored old farmhouse in Pittsford's Bushnell's Basin on the Erie Canal, with outdoor seating down on the waterfront and a tapshack pouring directly to the canalside picnic tables. The Syracuse location, in the historic Tipperary Hill neighborhood, rounds out the three with Detroit-style pizza and a full pub menu. All three pour freshly brewed Aurora beer alongside wine, cocktails, and non-alcoholic options.
