Vitale Park sits at the north end of Conesus Lake in Lakeville, managed by the Town of Livonia, and has become one of the most-visited public spaces on any of the western Finger Lakes. The paved lakeside walkway stretches along the shore and leads to a footbridge crossing the Conesus Lake outlet to Picnic Island, a wooded island with picnic tables set in the water. Gardens throughout the park are maintained seasonally and change with the year. The park includes restrooms, covered pavilions, a playground, fishing access, and a hand-launch cartop boat ramp. Swimming is allowed in a designated area in summer. The park is free to enter and open dawn to dusk seven days a week. OSB Ciderworks, Solitude Brewing, and little Lake Brewing are all within a few blocks. Don't miss: a walk over the footbridge to Picnic Island at the end of the day when the lake traffic settles.
