Theatre @ 37 is the Perry home of Josh Rice Projects, the company behind Shake on the Lake, the touring Shakespeare ensemble that started at Silver Lake in 2011 and now plays across the Finger Lakes each summer. The 37 South Main venue hosts plays in development, stand-up comedy, puppetry, and the biennial New York State Puppet Festival, which Josh Rice brings to Perry every other year. The space is intimate, a storefront theater that seats a few dozen, and the programming leans toward experimental work. It's part of the Perry revitalization story: a former retail space now running as a full-time arts venue.
