Jane and Roger Eatherton spent 20 years earning a reputation at Bucks County farmer's markets before they brought their from-scratch food philosophy to the Finger Lakes. The name Tabora comes from Jane's childhood home in Cape Town, South Africa, the same heritage that later inspired them to plant Syrah on their 250-acre Seneca Lake farm. Their wine portfolio focuses on native and hybrid varieties rooted in the region's history, made with minimal intervention to keep things clean and direct. The from-scratch deli and bakery carry that same principle: real food, made without shortcuts, the way they've always done it.
Don't miss: the Syrah, one of the few plantings on Seneca Lake with a direct line back to South Africa.
