Seneca Farms

The drive-through dairy opened in 1950; the fried chicken arrived in 1976; the line still backs onto Route 54A.

Yates County

Seneca Farms opened as a dairy in 1950 with the first drive-through window in the area and has been making ice cream on-site since opening day. Fried chicken was added in 1976 and remains the secondary draw; the line backs onto Route 54A on summer weekends. The dairy herd has been replaced by the ice cream operation, but the original drive-through format — order from the car, pick up at the window — still defines the experience. Located on the Indian Pines stretch of Route 54A, two miles north of Windmill Farm. Open daily from late spring through early fall.
