Rushville History Room

Explore Rushville's rich history and honor local veterans

Yates County

In Rushville History Room, visitors can explore the Wall of Honor dedicated to local veterans who served in the United States Armed Forces. The room features a School Corner showcasing a photo of Rushville High School from 1892. It houses history books, newspaper articles, photos, and artifacts depicting village business and rural home life. The conversion of the former fire truck bay in the Village Hall created this space, thanks to grants obtained by the Village Mayor and Board of Trustees. Tim King oversaw the completion of the room equipped with display cabinets, a work/conference table, and various artifacts donated by local citizens and organizations. The History Room is open on Tuesdays from 9:00am to 12:00pm or by appointment.
