Montezuma Winery sits at the northern end of the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail, just off the Thruway near the Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge: a deliberate detour that pairs naturally with a refuge birding morning. The property also houses Hidden Marsh Distillery, producing corn whiskey, vodka, bee vodka made with honey from the marshland bees, and a maple liqueur. The eclectic gift shop has developed an independent following. Now under the same ownership as Swedish Hill Winery (the Martin Family). The Diamond white wine is a consistent crowd-pleaser. Best pairing stop for anyone building a north-end day around Tubman and Seneca Falls.
