MacKenzie-Childs was founded in 1983 in Aurora and its headquarters farm now sits on a Victorian property overlooking Cayuga Lake from the east shore. Farmhouse tours show 15 rooms decorated floor-to-ceiling with the brand's signature products, including retired pieces and one-of-a-kind items. Production tours show the ceramics and enamelware manufacturing process. The annual Barn Sale is a major regional event. The farm property includes sheep and formal gardens. The most unusual destination on the east shore and the reason Aurora draws visitors who have never heard of the Finger Lakes.
