The Hunt family has farmed this land since 1852; the oldest vines were planted in 1904. The 170-acre farm now has 24 acres under vine, making Hunt Country one of the few operations on Keuka with genuine pre-Prohibition roots. The ice wine program — the oldest continuous ice wine program in the United States — uses Vidal Blanc grapes harvested by hand in January at temperatures below 17°F. The 2006 Vidal Blanc Ice Wine won best dessert wine at the New York Wine and Grape Foundation Classic. The tasting room is in the original 19th-century barn. Certified B Corporation.
