The Constellation Brands-Marvin Sands Performing Arts Center, known as CMAC, is the primary large-scale live music venue in the Finger Lakes, operating through summer and early fall on Lakeshore Drive south of downtown. The open-air amphitheater seats up to 17,000 across a covered pavilion section and an expansive hillside lawn, with sightlines calibrated so that the stage is visible from most of the property. The venue books a mix of touring rock, country, pop, and legacy acts across the season. CMAC is named for Marvin Sands, who founded the Canandaigua Wine Company in 1945, which grew into Constellation Brands, one of the largest wine and spirits companies in the United States. The Lake House on Canandaigua offers a shuttle service to CMAC from the resort. Season runs approximately May through October.
