Beak & Skiff was founded in 1911 by dairy farmer Andrew Beak and onion farmer George Skiff on a LaFayette hilltop south of Syracuse. The present Apple Hill Campus includes pick-your-own orchards with around 20 apple varieties, the 1911 Established tasting room, a distillery producing vodka and bourbon, a cidery producing 1911 hard cider, a general store, a pizza kitchen, and summer concerts. USA Today 10Best named Beak & Skiff the 5th best apple orchard in the U.S. for 2025. Ayrloom cannabis operates from the same grounds. Forty-minute drive from Skaneateles, thirty from Otisco.
