Battle Street Brewery occupies the restored 1870 Dansville and Mount Morris Railroad depot, a short-line station that ran independently for 115 years before the line was sold in 1985. The building sat unused for decades before the brewery took it over and kept the depot's character intact: exposed brick, wooden beams, and rail-era details. The tap list rotates between juicy IPAs, porters, and seasonals, with the Juicy IPA and smoked wings earning the most repeat orders. Food runs beyond the usual brewpub playbook: soft pretzels, smoked wings, pizza, and a Bloody Mary garnished heavily enough to count as a side salad. Quiz night brings crowds on Wednesdays. Don't miss: a flight with the Juicy IPA and the smoked wings. The building tour history alone is worth the stop.
