Cass Park sits at the foot of Cayuga Lake in Ithaca adjacent to Allan H. Treman State Marine Park, one of the largest inland marinas in New York State. The park includes a seasonal outdoor ice rink, swimming pool, tennis courts, and the Hangar Theatre. The Cayuga Waterfront Trail runs 5.5 paved miles from Cass Park north along the lakeshore, crossing the Cayuga Inlet via footbridge to the Ithaca Farmers Market at Steamboat Landing and continuing to Stewart Park. The Black Diamond Trail connects north from Taughannock Falls State Park to complete a 12-mile flat corridor suitable for cycling. Stewart Park, at the northern end of the trail, was formerly the site of the Wharton Brothers silent film studios.
