The western ridge road above the lake passes through South Bristol with views across the water and Heron Hill Tasting Room operating from a 100-year-old barn. Bristol Mountain runs ski season December through March with a 1,200-foot vertical drop. Fall chairlift rides run on weekends during peak foliage. Ontario County Park at Gannett Hill, the highest point in the county at 2,256 feet, sits on the ridge between South Bristol and Naples with views toward multiple Finger Lakes on clear days.
