LISTED MEMBER — Free

Operators ingested and visible: every business in your county is imported into Upstate and appears in regional search and guide pages. No action required from the DMO.

Check-ins enabled: travelers can check in to any listing in your county via the Upstate platform, generating visit data tied to your region.

Quarterly webinar access: platform updates, tourism trends, and member best practices.

Annual summary: a year-end snapshot of your county's activity on the platform, delivered each January.

CONNECTED MEMBER — $1,200/year

Everything in Listed, plus:

Data dashboard: login-accessible, performance data for your county, including visitor counts, check-in volume, top operators by traffic, and traveler origin data.

Quarterly data reports: delivered to your team, covering in-platform traffic patterns, traveler sentiment (aggregated post-visit survey responses), and traveler survey data (trip purpose, length of stay, spending intent).

Monthly DMO roundtable: invitation to a monthly working session with other Connected and Rooted members to share data insights, coordinate seasonal messaging, and provide platform feedback.

ROOTED MEMBER — $3,500/year

Everything in Connected, plus:

Quarterly Regional Reports: delivered four times per year, covering in-network movement patterns (how travelers using Upstate move between your county and neighboring counties, which regions most often appear in the same trip, and how your county fits into multi-day itineraries across the Upstate platform) and cross-trail behavior analysis (which trail categories draw travelers to your county and which they visit in combination).

Itinerary: An itinerary for your county or chosen region created by Upstate's team, incorporating your input and suggestions.

Annual Performance Report: a written analysis of your county's year on the platform, including year-over-year trends, visitor demographic shifts, shoulder-season opportunity assessment, and operator traffic leaders at the aggregate level. Standardized template, populated with your county's data.

Collaboration tools: access to joint campaign planning tools with neighboring DMO members, including shared itinerary building and cross-county traveler journey mapping.

Business Memberships

COMMUNITY MEMBER — Free

Listing visible on platform: Your business appears in Upstate's regional guides and search results, accessible to every traveler using the platform.

Check-in enabled: Travelers can check in to your business via the Upstate platform, generating visit data tied to your listing.

Basic automated performance report: A monthly snapshot of your listing's activity, total page views and check-in counts delivered automatically.

Monthly newsletter: Access to Upstate's operator newsletter covering platform updates, seasonal tourism trends, and network news.

Quarterly Webinar: Invitation to a quarterly roundtable with other network operators to share feedback and platform insights.

TRAIL MEMBER — $350/year

Live analytics dashboard: A login-accessible dashboard showing real-time performance data for your listing — visitor counts, check-in volume, traffic sources, and peak visit times.

Monthly analytics report: A detailed monthly report delivered to your inbox covering your listing's performance trends over time.

Post-visit survey data: Aggregated responses from travelers who visited your business; what they liked, how they found you, and what they did next.

NETWORK MEMBER — $1,200/year

Visitor journey data: Where travelers went before and after visiting your business; which other operators they visited, how your listing fits into multi-day itineraries, and how your county's traffic patterns affect your foot traffic.

Push notifications to nearby check-ins: When a traveler checks in to an operator within a defined radius of your business, you can send a single targeted notification — a timely, relevant reach to warm visitors already in your area.

1 operator email campaign per year: A dedicated email sent to travelers who have checked in to your business, available for your own marketing use, and a direct line back to your visitor audience.

1 co-branded feature per year: A short editorial blog post or social content feature produced by Upstate highlighting your business and story.

Add-On Packages

Standalone initiatives are available to members at any tier, at any point in the year. Each package has a defined scope and deliverables. Starting prices are listed below; we're flexible and happy to work within most budgets.

Passport Campaign — from $1,500

A digital passport program that invites travelers to check in across a set of participating operators in your county or region. Participants earn rewards upon completion. Configurable as a free or paid entry campaign, with performance data delivered at close.

Themed Trail — from $2,000

A new themed trail built within the Upstate platform, connecting visitors to a curated set of operators around a defined experience category. Includes operator outreach support, listing setup, and launch assets.

Seasonal Campaign — from $1,200

A focused marketing push tied to a specific season or moment: fall harvest, winter weekends, spring openings. Includes content development, platform assets, and distribution across Upstate's editorial and social channels.

Regional Campaign — from $2,500

A multi-county initiative built around a shared destination story, trail corridor, or experience theme. Includes itinerary development, cross-county operator coordination, editorial content, and platform placement. Well suited to adjacent counties looking to drive multi-day itinerary traffic together.
